Powered by a four-cylinder 12 and 16-valve powerplant, the Accent delivers dynamic acceleration performance and excellent fuel economy. The 1.5 liter modified engine is coupled with a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmission. It is mounted hydraulically, which considerably reduces engine noise. The manual gearbox delivers a smooth shift with minimum effort and is equipped with a hydraulic-assisted clutch for smooth action, and an optimal gear ratio.
