2003 Hyundai Accent
For the 2003 model year the second generation Accent was extensively revised
with new front fenders, hood, grille, front air dam and headlamp treatments. At
the rear the 2003 Accent sported a new deckled, bumper and tail lamp treatment.
The name of the base 3-door model was changed from Accent L to Accent and the
GS name was dropped. The top of the line Accent 3-door model and the Accent 4-door
model for 2003 both carry the GL badge. For 2003, all Hyundai Accent models, including
the base Accent, were fitted with the sophisticated 1.6-liter DOHC four-cylinder
engine rated at 104 horsepower. The Accent's exterior is freshened front and rear,
including a revised hood, front fenders and bumper, grille, headlamps, tail lamps
and rear deck.
